People get involved

Due to the recent, tragic events happening all over the country, many celebrities have chosen to become involved in anti-bullying campaigns. They are making their own videos in hopes that they can reach out to anyone experiencing not just cyber bullying, but any type of bullying and show them that they are not the only ones who may be going through this and that there are people out there in support of the victims. Do Something is a website that covers many different campaigns, not just anti-bullying ones, but displays celebrity videos from other websites like MTV and youtube to help spread advocacy for victims of this.

"Love and support is more powerful than the external and internal voices that bring us down, cause us pain and make us feel hopeless." This is the mission statement of the anti-bullying campaign Love is Louder, created by the actress Brittany Snow. Here you can post your own 30 second videos in support of those mistreated or misunderstood by others and the effort to overcome the negativity bestowed upon them.

Even Cartoons are showing support for this movement of anti-bullying campaigns. The network is targeting a different group than most other campaigns; not the bullies, not the victims, but those who are on the sidelines. Through distributing content in cartoons, website postings, and editorials with their sister network, CNN, Cartoon Network hopes to reach out to those who witness bullying and emphasize the importance as well as power they have as a bystander in helping stop these cruel and affective acts.
